Academic Affairs

Dr. Margaret Dahlberg is the chief academic officer of Valley City State University. Dr. Dahlberg is responsible for fostering, encouraging, supporting and implementing academic strategies that advance student learning. Duties of the Vice President for Academic Affairs include overall responsibility for the curriculum, the academic budget, faculty and academic support staff, academic policy, and grants while promoting an environment of innovation, entrepreneurship and customized learning.

The VPAA reports to the President and leads a team of division chairs, program directors, faculty and student leaders toward achieving the goals of teaching and learning in a digital environment.
