VCSU Business and Information Technology Day21st Annual Business and Information Technology Day!January 30, 2013Business and Information Technology (BIT) Day is a day of competitive events for all high school students. The students competing in BIT Day with either take written tests or perform role-play events.
The written test portion will include the following: Accounting, Business Law, Business Communications, Marketing Management, Economics and Personal Finance, Entrepreneurship, Spreadsheets, Web Page Design and Development, Word Processing, and Computer Maintenance & Repair. The role-play events using the DECA format are as follows: Team Events which will include two people will be in Sports and Entertainment Marketing, Hospitality Services, and Travel and Tourism. The individual role-play events will be Apparel and Accessories, Retail Merchandising, and Quick Serve Restaurant Management. Following the testing sessions students will also be engaged in a networking group activity that group students into companies and will compete against each other in a product development competition. After that competition students will be taken to lunch with entertainment provided. The Business and Information Technology department will conclude the day with a little trivia, door prizes, and an awards ceremony. For more information email: ladonna.anderson@vcsu.edu
