Louis Menendez, Guest Musician

Acclaimed as one of New York's most inventive musicians, Louis Menendez is highly regarded as conductor, pianist, educator, composer, and collaborative artist. Menendez has conducted more than one hundred and forty opera productions throughout the United States and Europe, and has served on the faculties of the Curtis Institute of Music and the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia.

As an operatic coach, Menendez has assisted such artists as Sherill Milnes, Birgit Nilsson, Audra McDonald, Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti. In chamber music, he has worked with such artists as Yo Yo Ma and flutist James Galway. Currently residing in Hot Springs, Maestro Menendez provides masterclasses for both pianists and singers. He also offers a recital of masterpieces of solo piano repertoire, featuring works by Bach, Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven.

As an internationally recognized vocal coach and conductor, Menendez works with opera singers on interpretation and presentation and advises pianists on accompanying and collaborating with other artists.
