Division of Health and Physical Education

The Department of Health and Physical Education will develop amongs its students the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values that come from physical activity and sports throughout one's life. It is the primiary function of the department to:
1. prepare students for teaching and coaching;
2. prepare the student planning to pursue advanced degrees in Physical Therapy, Athletic Training or graduate degree studies in Exercise Science;
3. promote a lifelone commitment for physical fitness among all VCSU students; and
4. support the university's mission of a learner-centered, caring community committed to continuous improvement through the use of instructional technologies.
