NAfME Model Cornerstone Assessment Pilot

Professional Development Course

Teachers who are involved with the Model Cornerstone Assessment Pilot program with the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) can receive professional development credit through Valley City State University. VCSU is a regional leader in teacher education, and we are proud to partner with NAfME to provide this service to teachers.

Interested individuals can register for the course by clicking here, or on the registration button below. Once you are on the registration page, scroll down and find MUS 700: Model Cornerstone Assessment Pilot. The registration process is easy, and does not require you to apply for admission to the university. You can choose 1 or 2 credits.

Tuition is $75 per credit. Teachers may register for 1 or 2 credits, but teachers must demonstrate that they have spent at least 15 hours per credit in the implementation of the pilot assessment program. NAfME will provide verification of submission of the pilot program materials. Questions about the process should be directed to Dr. Christopher Redfearn, chair of the music department, at christopher.redfearn@vcsu.edu or 701-845-7377 (email is preferred).
