Drop & Withdrawal RefundsRefunds for Drops and Withdrawals are done in accordance to State Board Policy 830.2. The policy applies to refunds of institutional charges to students who withdraw, drop out, are expelled from the institution or otherwise fail to complete a program on or after the first day of class of the period of enrollment for which they are charged. 'Institutional charges' means tuition, fees, room, board and other education-related charges assessed to the student by the institution.
Refunds of institutional charges according to policy are calculated as below: Drops - (drop a class or classes)
Withdrawals - (discontinue enrollment)Students planning to withdraw from school need to contact the Director of Student Academic Services.http://www.vcsu.edu/studentservices/
Students receiving financial aid have additional federal regulations that apply and should contact the Director of Financial Aid. http://www.vcsu.edu/financialaid/
** Valley City State University has 'declining balance' board contracts by which a student purchases dollar value of meals to be deducted from a credit balance and shall receive a refund of the remaining balance upon withdrawal thru week 15.
If a student must withdraw during the term for reasons beyond the student's control, they may request waiver of the tuition and fee refund schedule. To make this request, submit a letter of appeal to the Vice President for Business Affairs. |
