Mythaler Hall is home to the Philomathian Sorority (also known as "the Philos"), a fixture on campus since it was initially founded in 1919. The sorority participates in and organizes several activities over the course of the year including two pledge drives, dances, greek week, blood drives, and various charitable events. Mythaler Hall is also home to the Valley City Head Start program, a comprehensive child development program that serve children from birth to age 5, pregnant women, and their families.
Mythaler Hall is named for Stanley Mythaler, who was the Dean of Men from 1921 to 1941, and Chair of the Industrial Arts Department from 1921 - 1946.
