Vangstad Auditorium is a beautiful two-level auditorium that is on the National Register of Historic Places.
The auditorium seats about 850 people and is used for a variety of events including Commencement, large
ensemble concerts, theatrical productions, student events and community events. The unique features of the
Auditorium include the Amidon Memorial Pipe Organ, a fine three-manual Möller organ named for Fannie C. Amidon,
who for 35 years was a member of the music faculty. The statues are of Apollo and Athena (a Roman version, so
she may therefore also be called Minerva).
