Built in 1901, the footbridge that crosses the Sheyenne River connects the VCSU campus to downtown Valley City. At one point, the steel wire suspension bridge served as the main access to the campus. Now, the bridge and its accompanying "New Alumni Entrance" (dedicated in 1926) are primarily beautiful, antique reminders of the long heritage of VCSU. Photo credit: Janet E. Schultz.
