The Denver Teacher Residency (DTR) is designed for aspiring teachers who want to make a difference in the lives of at-risk, high-needs students in Denver Public Schools (DPS).
The DTR offers a one year residency, coupled with a Master of Arts degree from University of Denver's Morgridge College of Education, where Residents learn how to effectively teach in high-needs Denver Public Schools (DPS) alongside expert practitioners. Residents benefit from tuition reimbursement upon completion of their commitment to DPS.
Residents will
Teach and learn alongside a DPS master teacher while immersed in a year-long residency.

Summary
The executive director of new instructional initiatives is responsible for analyzing the demand for new two and four year programs through surveying business, labor and community groups to develop and implement high demand workforce instructional initiatives. Essential Functions

Spearhead new initiatives, programs and projects that move the college towards its mission with other internal and external college constituents, to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in all college instructional offerings
Participate in establishing and maintaining effective communications with state and local agencies and opinion leaders to implement new instructional offerings
Advise and inform college staff on new workforce instructional initiatives; identify potential problem areas or challenges and make appropriate recommendations
Prepare analysis and reports on future instructional initiatives to the president and the Board of Trustees
Represent the college at professional and community organizations; participate in college system professional conferences and in-service activities
Supervise, train and evaluate assigned staff; develop and monitor in conjunction with staff annual growth/professional development plans
