MAJOR

Business Administration is a versatile Bachelor's degree. Choosing the Business Generalist concentration will serve students who may want to work in small or medium size organizations where an employee has to be flexible and do multiple jobs across functions. The concentration would serve those students who wish to continue their education and enter a MBA program. Students who do not want to choose a discipline specific concentration would also be served well with this concentration.

PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE

You are encouraged to earn credits by extending your learning beyond the classroom. For example, several prominent firms in the region offer internship programs that provide supervised business training. Firms such as Bank Forward, John Deere Seeding Group, Gander Mountain, Coca-Cola, Rod Buck, WDAY, and Best Buy have had VCSU students in their internship programs. Cooperative research projects with faculty give you first-hand experience with advanced research techniques. Shadow studies allow you to observe managers in daily work routines. You will have the opportunity to also participate in economic development activities such as tours, workshops, fairs, and conferences.
