As in the music majors at VCSU, musicianship and performance are emphasized in the music minor. Music students at VCSU enjoy frequent opportunities for solo and ensemble performance on- and off-campus; a great deal of personal attention from highly qualified faculty; and the friendliness and ease of conducting business at a small college campus.

The program curriculum is based on the standards of the National Association of Schools of Music and the state of North Dakota.

Note: The music minor is an excellent way to expand one's global perspective and to develop a secondary area of expertise. This minor alone does not completely fulfil the requirements for a university degree. The student must also complete a major and other requirements. If this minor is of particular interest, you may want to pursue the major in music offered at VCSU.
