This minor in psychology can complement virtually any career a student wishes to pursue by developing an understanding of the science of mind and behavior. An increasing demand for associated expertise is present in areas such as corrections, social service, rehabilitation, education, and other community and personnel services through non-profit organizations.

Accommodating flexible scheduling needs, courses offered in the psychology program are a combination of traditional, hybrid, and online. Those who teach program courses are qualified to offer a high quality learning experience, assist in degree planning, serve as mentors, and guide advisees toward completion of their professional goals. The psychology program is standards-based, relating to those of various learned societies. Those involved consistently monitor the program to ensure availability of current best practices and offerings.

Note: The psychology minor is an excellent way to expand one's global perspective and to develop a secondary area of expertise. This minor alone does not completely fulfill the requirements for a university degree. The student must also complete a major and other requirements. If this minor is of particular interest, you may want to pursue the major in psychology offered at VCSU.
