Thank you to everyone who participated and voted in this year’s Diversity Global Awareness Photo Contest!
The theme this year was Greetings From Around the World – there are different ways people greet and embrace each other. How do you greet people?
We had some great entries and left the voting up to the campus!
This year’s top three photos are:
1st Place – Sierra Even “I went to Spain last summer and I went on a weekend trip to Portugal with this excursion program called "We Love Spain". Everyone in the photo comes from different places, countries, and states. Most are students who are studying abroad within Spain. I was able to meet some awesome individuals on this trip and enjoyed a great weekend of memories and fun!”
2nd Place – Rachel Cannon “This is a photo of my fiancé and me at our mock Korean wedding. We were visiting a traditional Korean village, and our hosts wanted to demonstrate a traditional Korean wedding. We were selected from the audience to participate in the experience, and this is a photo taken immediately after the ceremony in which the bride and groom are able to greet each other for the first time as man and wife.”
3rd Place – Melody Belkin "Hugs on Ferry to Salt Spring Island"
Thank you again to everyone who participated! We hope you all enjoyed it!
