Making the decision to delay classes, dismiss classes early or cancel school altogether is a difficult decision that involves behind-the-scenes work of the Campus Emergency Management Team (EMT). The EMT will determine if the roads are safe enough to travel for those who commute to school and work and then make an ultimate decision. VCSU Weather Decision and Notification Procedure VCSU will contact news media in the area as soon as the school closing or delay decision is made.
