New Student Orientation is a time for you to get on campus, ask any final questions you may have, and sit down with an adviser to plan your fall course schedule.
Completing your class schedule at this time will help eliminate any concerns that you may have regarding what your daily schedule will be. Also, those who register early will benefit from the greatest flexibility in planning a schedule that will best meet their needs. Please be sure that all required documents are on file in the Enrollment Services office prior to your registration. You must be admitted to the University before attending Orientation. Scholarship Awards Available
Numerous scholarships are awarded to new Valley City State University students each year. Awards are very competitive and although the priority deadline has passed, scholarships are still being awarded. We make applying for scholarships easy, just go online by clicking here, complete and send the online application, and have your high school send your transcript to us. Campus visits are available Monday-Friday from 8:00am-3:00pm and generally last two hours. A New Building for New Students!In the last two years there have been many projects and updates at VCSU, including:
- A complete renovation of Snoeyenbos Hall into co-ed suites - New field turf on Shelly Ellig Field at Lokken Stadium - A freshly recovered track at Lokken Stadium - A new Scoreboard and Video Board for Shelly Ellig Field at Lokken Stadium - Updated Classrooms, Offices, and Bathrooms - Updates to the Student Lounge and Skoal Room at the Student Center. The BIGGEST upgrade, however, is currently in the last stretch until completion! The $10.3 Million Renovation and Addition to our Rhoades Science Center has been underway since November 2011 and is projected to be complete for the end of Summer 2013. The progress they've made so far is amazing and students are currently attending class in the brand new addition, while renovations are underway in the original building.
