Online Students

Due to individual state regulations we are not able to accept applications for online coursework delivered to Alabama, Arkansas and Maryland at this time.

Entrance Requirements

Valley City State University uses the ACT (preferred), SAT, COMPASS, or PLAN scores for student dual credit placement into English 110 and Math 103. To view scores for admittance and other valuable information, click here.

COMPASS testing is available at VCSU during New Student Orientation. For more information, contact Enrollment Services at 1.800.532.8641 ext. 7101.

Dual Credit

You have not graduated from high school and want to take courses from VCSU that will be applied to both high school and college requirements. VCSU will admit a limited number of sophomore through senior high school students with outstanding records into the Dual Credit program. You must have 3.25 cumulative GPA to be admitted. If applying online, use DC as the admit type. This means you will apply college courses to both HS and college requirements. Check with your counselor to see if your high school has a dual credit agreement with VCSU.

Dual Credit students will receive a reduced rate of tuition and fees of $60 per credit for the 2013-14 academic year.

Early Entry
