VCSU Parking Office
The Valley City State University's Parking Office is located in the Facilities Services building.
Office hours are: 7:45am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday, during the academic year.
As part of the Valley City Flood Protections project, College Street and a portion of Viking Drive will remain CLOSED for the beginning of the Fall Semester. We will continue to send updates as we gain information on the project.
What are the parking impacts on Campus?
- The MAIN VCSU parking lots along College Street will remain CLOSED until the City finishes Phase I of this project.
- Temporary parking lots will be open for student and employee use effective Thursday, August 20 at 7:00am (please reference the map below).
Allow yourself a little more time to find a parking spot and keep the safety of the students, employees and campus visitors in mind as you drive through campus. Will I be able to use the Walk Bridge?
- The McCarthy/McFarland Alley will be a one-way street, effective Wednesday, August 19 at 7:00am (please reference the map below).
Yes, the Walk Bridge will continue to remain open.
There will also be a walking path along Viking Drive going to the Field House.

If you are planning to park in VCSU Permit Parking lots at any point this academic year, yes

The Parking Office will NOT be enforcing permits in the TEMPORARY parking lots, but WILL be enforcing permits in:

- As well as handicap, fire lane, and loading/time zone areas.
You will need to be diligent with checking and reading your emails to stay up-to-date on closures and project happenings.
