All courses are offered in a two year rotation. Online courses are offered beginning fall, spring, and summer.
Complete the Program in Two Years
Students who complete two courses each semester can complete the coursework for the M.Ed. in just two years. Courses are offered fall, spring, and summer. All core courses are offered twice each academic year.

Other Degree Requirements
Other requirements include an action research report, field experiences, and an oral presentation of a comprehensive capstone portfolio. All requirements are initiated in required coursework and completed with the assistance of your adviser.
Meets State and National Standards
The curriculum is structured around a set of core values that provide a broad foundation in education, research, and technology. This Concentration meets the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) and meets the North Dakota Education Standards and Practices Board (ESPB) state standards.
The courses are designed for P-16 educators to help them become effective users of technology and develop strategies for successfully integrating technology into the classroom to enhance the learning experience.
The Masters of Education in Elementary Education requires 35 hours of coursework, an action research report, and an oral defense of a comprehensive portfolio. The curriculum is structured around a set of core requirements that provide a broad foundation in education, research and technology. All M.Ed. students are required to complete 12 hours of core courses and three hours of Special Program courses.
