VCSU Residence Life Staff

Stephanie Roelfsema is the Director of Housing at VCSU. Stephanie is from Enderlin, ND and graduated from Enderlin Public School in 2003. Stephanie attended VCSU from 2003-2007 and graduated in May of 2007 with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Teaching ELL. She is working on her Master's Degree in Teaching and Technology through VCSU's Online Graduate Studies program. Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband and son, scrapbooking, reading, and being outdoors. Stephanie has worked at VCSU since August of 2007.

John O'Day is in his second year as a resident manager and assistant football coach with Valley City State University. He is originally from Wisconsin Rapids, WI and received his college degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. John has spent the last six years living in La Crosse, the last two working for Western Technical College as their resident manager. His love for residence life and student development has brought him to VCSU and he is ready for the adventure that is campus life!

Kayla Hoots, a native of Moorhead, MN began her employment at VCSU in May 2011. Kayla is the Housing Assistant and also serves as the Head Resident for Kolstoe and Robertson Halls. Kayla attended UND where she graduated in May 2010 with a major in Communications. Kayla enjoys spending time with friends and reading. She is looking forward to attending many VCSU sporting and music events throughout the year.
