Summer Housing

Do you need a place to stay while attending summer school or a workshop on the VCSU campus? Are you planning a family reunion and looking for place to accommodate your guests? VCSU is happy to help. Each summer we have students who decide to live on campus in one of our halls. We also rent out rooms to families who are planning family reunions in the area. This residence hall also has wireless internet, central air conditioning, and coinless laundry on each floor. Each floor also has a small kitchenette with a small lounge and a large kitchen on the first floor along with a large lounge, gaming room, and exercise facility. Summer Weather Policy

Tornadoes and storms can occur at any time during the year, but are more prevalent during the spring and summer months. The approach of severe weather may be announced by sirens located throughout the community, and through local radio and television programs. In many cases a member of the Residence Hall Staff will be in the building and we will be moving everyone to the Memorial Student Union. In case of an approaching tornado, and there is not ample time to get to the Student Union, the following procedures should be followed:

1. Move to the first floor lounge of your hall.
2. Sit in the central corridors covering your face with folded arms.
3. Stay away from windows.
4. Leave corridor doors open.
5. Do not use elevator.

If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, please feel free to contact the Housing Office at (701) 845-7124.
