Having trouble finding a parking spot in the morning or after returning from lunch? Ever dreamed of having your own reserved parking spot at VCSU?

Facilities Services has offered two more parking spots to auction off as part of our V-500 scholarship fund-raising effort. This is a unique opportunity to purchase a reserved parking spot that would be yours exclusively from September 19, 2012 – July 31, 2013 . You get to choose the spot in one of VCSU's permit parking lots. If you are the successful bidder for a parking spot, the Foundation Office will furnish a personalized reserved parking sign.

What a great way to raise money for scholarships and reserve a front row spot for yourself!

Please note:
In order to receive a VCSU parking space you need to have purchased a regular parking permit for the academic year. You may send your location suggestions to the campus Parking Office for review, however, the Parking Office will have the final say on which parking space may be reserved. The Foundation Office is responsible for purchasing the parking sign.

Online auction starts on Tuesday, September 11 at 10:00 am and ENDS at 12:00 noon on Friday, September 14.

If you have any questions please contact Kim Hesch at 845-7403.

Fall forums series begin September 17

Seven women candidates in this fall's election will be at Valley City State University Monday, September 17 participating in a forum sponsored by the campus/community group "What in the World is Going On?"

Three of the women are Republicans: Kirsten Baesler, candidate for Superintendent of Public Instruction, Kelly Schmidt, incumbent State Treasurer, and Myrene Peterson, candidate for District 24 State House. The other four, Democrats, are: Ellen Chaffee, candidate for Lieutenant Governor, Pam Gulleson, candidate for US Congress, Sharon Buhr and Naomi Muscha candidates for District 24 State House.

These women will discuss the circumstances that helped them decide to run for office, why they think very few women do and the state/federal issues that are, in their opinions, most important in this election. There will also be an opportunity for questions from the audience.

The event will be held in Froemke Auditorium at 7:30 pm.
