What: VCSU baseball vs Jamestown
Where: Concordia College, Moorhead
After going through several schedule adjustments for this past weekend's scheduled games against University of Jamestown, it looks like the Valley City State baseball team will finally take on the Jimmies on Tuesday, April 7.
Jamestown and Valley City State are scheduled to play a doubleheader Tuesday starting at noon at Concordia College in Moorhead, weather permitting. The forecast looks good, with high temperatures near 55 degrees on Tuesday.
Concordia College is scheduled to play a doubleheader Monday afternoon on its field, which has a turf infield.
Tuesday's games will be broadcast by Jamestown radio on KQDJ 1400 and streamed online at NewsDakota.com.
Valley City State (12-19, 3-1 NSAA/Frontier) has not played since March 29-30 when the Vikings won three out of four games in Dickinson. The Vikings are 3-1 in conference play entering Tuesday's games.
Jamestown is also 3-1 in conference play and is 16-5 overall. The Jimmies are receiving votes in the latest NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll. Jamestown has not played since March 29-30 when the Jimmies won three out of four from Presentation College.
Tuesday's games will count towards the North Star/Frontier Conference standings.
Valley City State also announced it has moved the location of Thursday's game against Concordia College. The Vikings and Cobbers will now play at Concordia College on Thursday at 4 p.m. The game was originally scheduled to be held in Valley City.
VCSU is hoping to host its scheduled home series against Dakota State this weekend, although dates and times are subject to change.
