VIKINGS KLAPP NAMED MOST VALUABLE in DAC-10

Valley City State University's Tom Klapp was named the Most Valuable Graduating Senior in the DAC-10 Conference as selected by the conference coaches.

Klapp was a four-year all conference performer for the Vikings, ranking second on the Vikings all-time victory list by amassing 23 victories in his career. The Elkford, BC native was also a three-year starter in the field for the Vikings. A career .316 hitter, Klapp played third base his sophomore year and split time at first base and the outfield his junior and senior seasons.

Along with his 23 wins, Klapp also recorded seven saves while striking out 229 batters in 224 innings and walking only 46.

Klapp was also named to the NAIA All-Region team, NAIA Honorable Mention All-American and recipient of the NAIA Scholar All-American Award. He will receive his degree in Chemistry Education from VCSU.
