If I Had Known Then What I Know Now

Now that your son or daughter has been a student at Valley City State University for at least eight weeks, perhaps you’ve thought of things that would have been more helpful during college selection process. If you’re like me, it’s sometime a challenge to fully understand all of the different elements of a new concept, like choosing a college, until I’ve actually experienced it. In education, we call that experiential learning.

The VCSU Office of Enrollment Services would like to hear from you regarding what you learned from your experience in assisting your student with the college enrollment process. Are there tips and suggestions you’ve thought of that we can provide upcoming students and parents which may help eliminate some of the stresses that come with the transition to college? Our goal is to help students and parents make the most informed decisions they can, and once the wise decision to attend VCSU is made, we want to be sure the transition to VCSU is as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Please email us at enrollment.services@vcsu.edu with your thoughts on what you believe would have made life easier for you and your student. The smallest suggestion you may have will help make the experience better for many.
