Valley City State University, together with Rezac Design Studio of Fargo, received numerous accolades at the 46th Annual Fargo-Moorhead ADDY Awards. At a ceremony held Friday, February 28, at the new Moorhead (MN) Area Conference Center, VCSU was awarded two silver, two gold, and a Judge’s Choice award in five categories for publications produced for the Office of Enrollment Services and VCSU.
A silver award was received for the university’s viewbook in the Direct, Consumer category. A second silver was received for the VCSU postcard series in the Stationery Package, Multiple Process category. Receiving a gold award was the university’s viewbook in the Brochure, Four-color category. The second gold was awarded to the combined package of the contact piece, viewbook, and application procedures booklet in the Direct Campaign, Consumer category. Receiving one of just three Judge’s Choice awards given that evening, the viewbook was described by one of the judges as having an outstanding combination of color, copy and style; very appropriate to the audience for whom the piece was designed.
Sponsored by the Fargo-Moorhead Advertising Federation, the ADDY Awards honor excellence in advertising and cultivate the highest creative standards in the industry. "These awards are a great honor and provide outstanding testimony to the hard work of the university’s marketing committee, the Enrollment Services staff, and Paige Keiser-Rezac of Rezac Design Studio," commented Dan Klein, director of VCSU’s Office of Enrollment Services. "We worked hard to research and define the right look and feel to our materials, and it’s nice to be recognized in this way."
The two entries receiving the Gold Award will go on to the regional level in hopes of moving on to the national competition.
