Valey City State University athletic director Doug Peters is pleased to name Craig Case as the 9th volleyball coach at Valley City State University. Prior to accepting the position, Case was the head volleyball coach, interim athletic director and instructor at St. Gregory's University in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
An Elk River, MN native with an undergraduate degree from St. Cloud State University and a graduate degree from St. Lawrence University, Case also has prior coaching experience at Northern State University (Aberdeen, SD) and St. Lawrence University (Canton, NY).
'Coach Case is an energetic person who has a passion for the game of volleyball,' commented Peters. 'I expect to see our volleyball program continue to improve.' The Vikings finished 5th in the DAC with a 7-7 record and eventually lost in the first round of the conference tournament.
Case is excited to be coming to Valley City. 'There is some obvious talent and I'm confident that Coach Peterson has done a nice job training them. This is a great situation to be coming into,' he commented
