Setter Megan Floerke and defensive back/wide receiver Chauncey Calhoun both received additional honors for their performances last weekend.
Floerke, already named the DAC setter of the week, captured the NAIA Region III award. Floerke, a sophomore from Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, recorded 129 assists on the week for an average of 12.9 per game as VCSU went 3-0. She also had 27 digs, five blocks, and nine ace serves. The Vikings are 5-7 overall and 3-0 in the DAC.
Calhoun, a sophomore from Glendale, AZ was named the Victory Sports Network Defensive Player of the Week and the Football Gazette National NAIA Defensive Player of the Week. Calhoun was earlier named the NAIA and DAC Defensive Player of the Week after intercepting three passes including two for touchdowns against Dakota State University.
