Graboski Chooses Viking Softball
Rachel Graboski a pitcher/first baseman from Abbotsford, British Columbia has signed a Dakota Athletic Conference letter of intent to play softball at Valley City State University starting in the fall of 2007.
Graboski plays for the Abbotsford Outlaws fast pitch organization where she led her team to a District Championship in 2005 and tallied 239 innings pitched with 208 strike outs and a 2.24 earned run average in the past two seasons of play. Offensively last season Graboski hit for a 321 average with 41 rbi's.
Graboski is an honor roll student at Abbotsford Collegiate School where she also participated in hockey where she has been chosen as an assistant captain.
Viking Softball coach Chad Slyter commented 'Adding Rachel to next year's freshman class is great. She will add depth to our pitching staff and solidify an important position for us at first base. I'm excited about Rachel's offensive potential and her ability to become a power hitter in our lineup.'
Rachel is the daughter of Jody and Darlene Graboski.
