A group of approximately 20 VCSU students, mostly students who are majoring in Wildlife and Fisheries Science, recently formed a new campus club: the VCSU Fisheries and Wildlife Conservation Club. The club is a student organization with plans to do public service projects related to wildlife and fisheries, field trips, and attend student conclaves. Senior Amanda Bryson from Fort Peck, Montana was elected President.
To get the club going, The Barnes County Wildlife Federation donated $500. The clubs first fundraiser will be a spaghetti feed at the Valley City VFW on January 31st starting at 5:30 pm. Tickets will be sold at the door for $7, or may be bought in advance for $5 by contacting the VCSU Department of Science at 701-845-7452.
