Krystal Hathaway pitched her way to her first Viking career no-hitter and the third perfect game in Viking Softball history in a 10-0 win over the UM-Crookston. The gem came in game two and completed a sweep over the Golden Eagles.

In game one, the Vikings scored two in the first, one in the third and four in the fourth on their way to a 7-1 victory. Carling Beninger gave up a pair of doubles in the bottom of the second to surrender the only UM-Crookston run of the game. Beninger pitched four innings, striking out five, walking none and scattering four hits to pick up her tenth win of the season, before being relieved by Alana Purvis. Purvis pitched the last three shutout innings, picking up her first save of the year giving up two hits and walking one and striking out one.

Offensively the Vikings pounded out twelve hits with two each by Kaleigh Will, Kelli Unrein and Sarah Giesbrecht. Unrein also recorded three rbi for the game.

Game two was highlighted by the Viking bats and trumped with the Hathaway gem. The Vikings three in the second, three in the third and four in the fifth led by Amanda Carter's three for three performance. Kailey Rintala, Jessica Ruzicki and Morgan Tate all recorded two hits in the game, with Ruzicki tacking up three rbi.

In picking up the twelve no-hitting in the programs history, Hathaway struck out nine in her five innings of work.

With the sweep the Vikings up their overall record to 25-9 and will travel to Dickinson State on Saturday and Sunday for a four game set.
