Two Viking golfers participated today at the Prairie West golf course in Mandan. Mandi Bindas and Kelsey Wilhelm battled the wind as well as the competition in the one day event. Four Dakota Athletic Conference teams and Bismarck State competed in the one day meet.
Minot State took the meet with a team score of 348. The Beavers had a fifteen stroke advantage over the second place Dickinson State Blue Hawks. Ali Hilkewich took individual honors with a score of 81. Macie Harris of Bismarck State was runner up with an 82. Tracey Gustafson from Jamestown and Mackenzie Nagel from Minot State took third and fourth respectively with scores of 86 and 87. Mandi Bindas led the Viking women with a score of 95.
The Vikings will be back in action this weekend as they host the opening DAC meet of the year. Teams will play the Maple River Golf Club in Mapleton, ND. Action begins on September 11th with tee times starting at noon. Sunday September 12th will be a shotgun start at 9 am.
