Valley City State University today announced final Fall semester headcount of 1,285, a 19% increase over the final Fall headcount of 1,083 last year and the largest since 1970. Final new freshman headcount at VCSU is 220, a 42% increase over last year and the largest since 1988. Residence halls are filled to their highest levels since 2000.
According to VCSU president Dr. Steve Shirley, the increase in enrollment was spread across all corners of the University. "Total undergraduate headcount increased by 18%, and most of that increase was in full-time students. Headcount in our online Master of Education continued its record of steady growth every year since its inception in 2005, this year growing by 20% to 147. Total Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) enrollment increased by 15% over last year."
