The Valley City State University Men's Basketball showed their offensive prowess, shooting for a high percentage and putting six players in double figures in a convincing 91-73 victory over visiting Trinity Bible College.
The Vikings shot 63% from the floor in the first half and 58.6% for the game to put up their highest offensive outing of the season. Senior Mark Klingberg (Prior Lake, MN) led six Vikings that scored in double figures with 20 points on the night. He was followed by fellow post player freshman Harrison Weber (Casselton, ND) with 17, freshman Aaron Duske (Buffalo, MN) with 13, senior Calvin Kraft (Casselton, ND) and DJ Carroll (St. Paul, MN) hit for 11 apiece and sophomore Dustin Kise (Fertile, MN) rounded out the double digit scorers with 10.
Senior guard Mike York (Burnsville, MN) dished out 11 assists in the game and Duske led the Vikings with seven rebounds. The Vikings dominated the boards, outrebounding the Lions 40-19.
With the win the Vikings overall record moves to 5-7. Valley City State University will play on the road at the University of Minnesota-Morris (Morris, MN) on Friday, December 17.
