FB: Vikings vs. Jimmies Preview
The Vikings will battle longtime rival Jamestown College in the 107th meeting between the two teams. The Vikings are coming off an impressive road win and the Jimmies are coming off a win vs. Mayville State University, so both programs are bringing some momentum into the game. The Vikings are riding high, entering the top 25 for the first time this season after reeling off three straight victories.

Valley City State will need to capitalize on their scoring chances and put points on the board. Last week the Vikings had 500 total yards of offense but scored only 20 points. Moving the ball has not been an issue to this point for VCSU but costly mistakes in the red zone have hurt the numbers on the scoreboard. AJ Pfeifer had a huge week in SD last week, 186 yds on the ground, and will be counted on once again this week. 'AJ did a great job of making the first guy miss and breaking tackles last week and we need more of that from him' Said Coach McCulloch.

The Viking defense scored nine of the 29 points last week which was a huge momentum builder for the Vikings. This week they will need to contain the big plays against an offense from Jamestown which can be explosive. Cody Kilthau has stepped up this year and has three interceptions in the last two contests. If the Vikings can force turnovers, something JC has been prone to so far giving away 14 turnovers in four games and limit big plays; it should bode well for VCSU.
