Get WILD with VCSU
Valley City---It's the middle of winter and it's time to get a little wild with Valley City State University Century Club. The second annual wild game feed will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 29 at the VFW Club in Valley City. Social hour begins at 5 p.m. with dinner served at 6 p.m.
All types of wild game will be served including venison, pheasant, deer, duck, elk and bison along with other domestic meats like ham and turkey. Side dishes will include potato salad, baked beans and coleslaw.
According to VCSU athletic director, Jack Denholm, 'The menu offers something for everyone so even if you don't like the wild game items, there are alternative choices. We're excited to host this event for the second time and build this as an opportunity to get together, socialize, and enjoy great food prepared by a trained chef, and raise money for athletics at the same time.'
Anyone purchasing a ticket will be eligible for door prizes and meat raffles will be sold throughout the evening. To purchase tickets, contact any century club booster member or call the W.E. Osmon Fieldhouse at 845-7161. Proceeds from the event will go to support the VCSU Viking athletic scholarships. Cost is $10 per person.
