The Valley City State Vikings are on the road again this week traveling to St. Peter, Minnesota, to take on the Gustavus Adolphus Golden Gusties. The Vikings moved to 4-2 after last weekend's 61-35 win over Mayville State. The Gusties are 2-3 and coming off a 14-28 loss to the University of St. Thomas. The game is set to start at 1pm; this weekend also marks Homecoming for the Gusties.

Viking Highlights

Valley City State racked up 452 rushing yards and scored eight touchdowns in the exciting win over Mayville.

Derek Elliot (JR, RB, Valley City, ND) has been crowned Male Athlete of the Week in the Association of Independent Institutions for the second straight week. Elliot scored five touchdowns and had 301 total yards of offense in the win over Mayville. Elliot's four rushing touchdowns tied him for the VCSU single game record and his five total touchdowns set a single game scoring mark for VCSU.
