WBB: Vikings Come Up Short Versus #2 Northwestern College
The Vikings had their way offensively but the three time defending national champions Northwestern College used a huge second half to fend off the upset by visiting Valley City State.

Valley City State shot 47.9% from the floor in the game including an even 50% in the first half to jump out to a 38-27 halftime lead. But the Red Raiders blistered the nets in the second half to the tune of 65.5% on 17-26 shooting to come from behind and pull out a three point 67-64 win over the Vikings.

The Viking was off set with Northwestern College scoring 27 points off of 21 Valley City State turnovers.

The Vikings were paced by two double digit scorers with Brittany Lehner and Sierra Even scoring eleven points each.

The Vikings will tip off versus Dordt College at 4 PM on Saturday afternoon before returning home to Valley City for their home opener next Friday versus NCAA Division II MSU-Moorhead.
