Once again the Viking Women's Basketball team eclipsed the 50% shooting mark on the way to their fourth straight win on the season over Rocky Mountain College by a 79-67 score.
Valley City State blistered the nets to the tune of 20-31 (64.5%) shooting from the floor in the first half then shot an efficient 13-28 (46.4%) from the field in the second half in the win. The Vikings did it both inside and outside hitting 6-12 (50%) from the three point line in the first half and shooting 44.4% from beyond the arc for the game.
Katelyn Ralston led the way for VCSU with 17 points on 7-9 shooting including three of four from the three point line. Ralston was followed by post players Brittany Lehner with 16 points and Alyssa Hummel who dumped in 12 to round out the double digit Viking scorers.
The win is the Vikings fourth straight after they dropped their season opener to #3 Northwestern College in the season opener. Valley City State wraps up the Sam Milanovich Class at Dickinson State by playing the host team at 5 PM (MST).
