The normally steady offense wasn't there for Valley City State on the road at NCAA Division II University of Mary on Tuesday as they dropped an exhibition game by a 69-42 score.

The Vikings struggled shooting all night, tallying 35% in the first half before dropping to 25.9% in the second including 4-17 (23.5%) from the three point line.

The highlight of the evening was Erika Ettl who came off the bench to shoot three of six from beyond the range to score a team high nine points.

The game does not count on the Vikings overall record as Valley City State remains 5-1 on the season. Next for the Vikings will be a road trip on Tuesday at the University of Minnesota Morris before the Vikings return for their final two games at home in 2012 on Thursday, December 6 and Friday, December 7.
