The 15th ranked Vikings took on Johnson and Wales form Denver Colorado this afternoon looking to avenge a 69-74 loss from December 18th at Johnson and Wales.

The Vikings took an early 16-8 lead in the game with some hot shooting from Sekani Milligan and John Raquel, combined with tough pressure defense.
VCSU extended the lead in workman like fashion to 24-11 at the 6:00 mark, getting contributions from Pat Rogers and Chris Embden from behind the three point line. The Vikes held a slight edge on the boards (19-16) and held an 11-0 advantage on bench scoring.

To close the half the Vikings would extend the lead to 15 on a long Milligan three to make the score 35-20.

The second half began as the first half ended with the Vikings controlling the action. VCSU extended its lead to 49 -27 with 14:00 Left in the game.
The game took a somewhat unpleasant turn midway through the second half with fouls mounting for both teams and each team drawing a technical foul. The Wildcats from Denver were in the double bonus with over 10 minutes left in the game. The total foul count for the game was 45.

VCSU cruised to a 17 point win (70-53) and move to 14-4 on the season.
