Why did you choose VCSU?
I chose VCSU because it is a small college. The student teacher/relationship is great, and the coach/player relationship is also very close. I am able to receive one-on-one help with any school or football related issues that arise.
Do you have a favorite class or professor?
My favorite classes are sociology classes. Lynne Issacson teaches most of the sociology classes. She is my favorite professor because of her sense of humor and her intuitive teaching style.
What is Coach Mac like?
Coach Mac is a stern but fair coach. He will tell you what you need to hear. He also maintains a very good relationship with all players while maintaining a healthy player/coach relationship.
Do you have a career highlight?
My career highlight is beating Jamestown in the 2012 season. We beat them on their home field.
What are your plans after graduation?
I already procured a job in my field. I maintain my job at the James River Correctional Facility to gain experience, and I plan to possibly find a different job with that experience.
What does Viking Pride mean to you?
Viking Pride means breathing cardinal and white. I am proud to be a part of the Viking family here at VCSU.
Comments from Coach McCulloch
'Aaron is having an All-American type of season for us on the defensive line. As a defensive tackle he is one of the leading tacklers in the nation. He has made himself into this type of player. His work in the off-season has put him in a position to be this type of leader on our team. His work ethic will be a tremendous asset to him and any company he works for.'
