In a battle of top 25 teams, it was #15 Jamestown College that bested the #24 Valley City State University Vikings as the Jimmies led wire to wire in the 81-64 victory.

Jamestown College shot a staggering 64.0% in the first half to jump out to a 25 point half time lead that the Vikings could not threaten in the second half. Valley City State conversely struggled from the floor, connecting for only 37.5% in the game including one of ten from beyond the arc for 10.0% in the game.

The pace of the game was plagued by fouls and free throw shooting as both teams were whistled for a combined 44 fouls in the game. Jamestown College shot 23 for 38 from the free throw line while the Vikings made 21 of their 25 attempts.

Valley City State was led by Brittany Lehner who dumped in 17 points. She was followed by fellow interior player Alyssa Hummel who tallied 14. Katelyn Ralston narrowly missed double figures, scoring nine in the game.

The loss drops the Vikings to 18-5 on the season. Valley City State travels to Mayville State on Saturday for a 4:00 PM game time featuring another top 25 opponent with the Comets being ranked #19 in the latest NAIA poll.
