Vikings at a Glance: The 20th ranked Vikings were stunned in the final seconds at home on Wednesday when a three point shot found the bottom of the net with 2.2 seconds remaining, handing them a 56-55 loss to rival Mayville State University.

The loss was the first versus the Comets on the season with the Vikings beating them twice earlier in the season.

The game versus Dakota State could be a potential A.I.I. Tournament preview as both the Vikings and Trojans have qualified for the conference post-season tournament in Jamestown next week.

The Vikings are currently ranked 2nd in the A.I.I. weekly conference rankings with Dakota State ranked third. Saturday's games could have implications for seeding in the A.I.I. Tournament as it sets up for first round play.

The Opponent: Dakota State comes to the W. E. Osmon Fieldhouse with a 19-8 record and having beaten five of seven opponents in the A.I.I.

Most recently the Trojans knocked off Jamestown College on the road by a score of 66-60.

Valley City State beat Dakota State earlier in the season 63-54 in their only match-up so far this season.
