For the second time in four days the Valley City State University Women's Basketball team displayed a high power offense as they rolled to an 86-64 victory over Dakota State University in their final regular season game.

Brittany Lehner scored 24 points on 10-16 shooting and a perfect four of four from the free throw line to lead the Vikings in the victory. Valley City State's post offense, which has been a force to be reckoned with, was evident again with fellow post Alyssa Hummel following Lehner with 15 points on five of nine shooting.

Despite shooting just 20.0% from the three point line, the Vikings were able to shoot 51.8% from the floor overall including 13 of 21 in the second half for 61.9%.

Dakota State was forced into 22 turnovers helped by 16 Viking steals in the victory.

The win puts the Viking victory total at 22 for the season, one win away from tying the record for victories in a season.

Valley City State will look to tie and break that record next weekend when they will be playing in the Association for Independent Institutions Conference Tournament in Jamestown starting on February 22.

Seeding and opponents for the Vikings will be announced on Sunday.
