MBB: Milligen Named A.I.I. Player of the Year; Two Others All A.I.I.

Valley City State University Men's Basketball Senior Sekani Milligen was named the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) Men's Basketball Player of the Year.
Milligen, who last season was an NAIA All American Honorable Mention, averages 18.14 points per game which puts him at 28th in the nation in scoring.
Milligen also ranks third in NAIA Men's Division II Basketball in 3-Pt Fg Made per Game with 3.571 and number seven in Total 3 Pt Fg Made with 100.
Viking teammates Gus Kueber and John Raquel were also recognized with A.I.I. Conference Honors.
Kueber joined Milligen on the All Conference First Team. Kueber was second in scoring for the Vikings, averaging 12.1 points per game and led the team in rebounding, pulling down 6.1 boards per game. Kueber also shined on the defensive end of the floor, totally 30 blocked shot on the season.
Raquel was named to the A.I.I. Second Team. Raquel missed much of the first half of the season due to injury before returning to the Viking starting line up and averaging 10.3 points per game and dishing out a team high 69 assists in only 19 games for a 3.64 average.
The Vikings finished the season 21-8 and received an at large bid to the NAIA Division II Men's Basketball Tournament to be held beginning March 6 in Point Lookout, MO.
