After 6 1/2 innings of a pitchers duel between the Viking starters VCSU trailed 2-1.
In the bottom half of the seventh the Vikings from Valley City decided to make the trip home a little sweeter.
The rally began with a single between short and third from Colin Waldner and was followed by a sharp line drive single from Scott Stephenson to put runners on first and second with no outs.
After a sac bunt from Brenden Shearer moved Waldner and Stephenson to third and second, Thomas Houdek was walked intentionally to load the bases and set up a possible double play.
With the bases loaded and VCSU trailing by one Joey Demers worked a walk from the Granview closer to tie the score at 2-2.
The next batter, Robert Wiley, worked the count to two balls and two strikes before being ejected from the game after slamming his helmet when he was told to return to the batters box after being hit by a pitch.
Brady Anderson was called upon to complete the at bat, and he delivered the game winning RBI on a single to right field two pitches later.
The game took only 1:20.
VCSU finished the Arizona trip at 3-4 and 8-11 overall.
