VCSU Football Coach Dennis McCulloch has released the schedule for this coming fall. The Vikings open the season at rival Jamestown College on Saturday, August 31st before heading to Sioux City, IA to take on NAIA national runner-up Morningside College on September 7th. They will once again play both Jamestown College and Mayville State University at home and away. The home opener will be vs. Dakota State University with a 6pm start. Homecoming will be played on October 5th vs. new opponent Presentation College of Aberdeen, SD.

The Vikings have two weekends without games this fall. They will not play on September 21st and November 2nd.
They will finish the season with a game at NAIA opponent Menlo College in San Francisco, CA. This will be the first flight the Vikings have taken to play since their 2004 trip to Los Angeles to play Azusa Pacific.

Coach McCulloch says "It took a little longer to fill our schedule as an independent this year but we are very excited about this year’s schedule. Playing 5 games at Shelly Ellig field, including 3 of our last four, is a going to be fun. The schedule will be a challenging one that includes rivalry games, an NAIA powerhouse and trip to California. Our players look forward to it."
