Three Valley City State University men's basketball players have been named to the NABC Honors Court, which recognizes student-athletes who excel in academics.
Aaron Duske, Dillan Ostrom and Pat Rogers all received the honor announced Wednesday by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
The Honors Court recognizes juniors and seniors who have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. This year, it includes more than 700 athletes from NCAA Division I, II and III and NAIA Division I and II.
Duske (Buffalo, Minn.) was a junior last season and is majoring in physical education/health. Ostrom and Rogers were both seniors. Ostrom (Finley, N.D.) majored in exercise science, and Rogers (Burnsville, Minn.) majored in accounting.
On the court this year, the trio helped VCSU to a 23-7 record and its first NAIA national tournament appearance since 1987.
