Kameron Hunter of Jamestown (N.D.) and Shane Ost of Valley City State (N.D.) were named to the Co-North Star Athletic Association Men’s Golfer of the Week, announced Monday. It was the first weekly honors for the NSAA men’s golf.

NSAA Co-Men’s Golfer of the Week:
Kameron Hunter – Jamestown (N.D.) – Senior – Gillette, Wyo. – Hunter led the Jimmies to a second-place finish in the competitive Siouxland Invitational (course par score of 71), which featured 17 teams. He recorded identical scores of 73 on a 2-day invitational to place fourth overall out of 102 total golfers in the meet. Jamestown finished second in the meet.

Shane Ost – Valley City State (N.D.) – Junior – Valley City, N.D. – Ost continued his hot start to fall golf season with an even-par 72 and a first-place finish in the Bismarck State Mystics Invitational on Sept. 3. Ost’s big day paced the Viking men’s golf team to a score of 307 and a first-place finish at the six-team meet.

Looking Ahead (Men’s/Women’s): All three NSAA schools – Jamestown, Presentation (S.D.) and Valley City State (N.D.) will be competing in the two-day Jamestown Invitational in Jamestown, N.D. The meet kicks off on Saturday at 2 p.m. and concludes on Sunday, starting at 9:30 a.m.
